A Quiet Room For Three

It was supposed to be a quiet anniversary.

Lila and Aaron had booked a boutique hotel on the coast — a little modern escape tucked between cliffs and sea. Minimalist, adults-only, barely any guests.

But Eva was there.

They met her at the bar the first night — reading a book, alone, sipping gin. She smiled at Lila first, then Aaron, then went back to her page. It was nothing… but it stayed with them.

The next evening, they ran into her again — this time, barefoot by the fire pit on the terrace. The three of them fell into conversation easily. She was clever. Unassuming. And then came the laughter — that kind of rare, immediate ease.

Later that night, as they got ready for bed, Lila stood by the mirror in just a towel, brushing her hair.

“She’s beautiful,” Aaron said.

Lila didn’t answer right away. Then: “I know.”

On the third night, they invited Eva to have a drink on their balcony.

Just one. Just to say thank you for the company.

But the energy changed quickly.

Lila poured the wine. Aaron lit the lanterns. Eva stood near the edge, hair loose from the wind, the ocean humming somewhere beyond.

“This is… unexpected,” she said, sipping slowly.

Lila stepped behind her, brushing a strand of hair off Eva’s shoulder. “You don’t have to stay.”

Eva didn’t move. “But I want to.”

The kiss was soft. Lila leaned in first. Eva met her without hesitation.

Aaron watched for a moment — then came closer. He didn’t interrupt. He placed a hand gently on Eva’s back, and another on Lila’s hip. Their breaths all slowed.

They didn’t rush. They didn’t undress fully.

Lila guided Eva to the lounge chair, kissed her slowly while Aaron sat beside them, running his hands over both their thighs, grounding them in touch.

Eva trembled when Lila slipped her hand beneath her dress, and moaned when Aaron kissed the inside of her knee. She came with Lila’s mouth at her ear, Aaron’s hands steady, holding her through the wave.

They didn’t ask her to stay the night. She did anyway.

In the morning, the bed was full of tangled limbs and quiet smiles.

Eva stretched, looking between them. “Did I… change something?”

Lila kissed her shoulder. “Yes.”

Aaron smiled into her neck. “In the best possible way.”
