Stargazers

The observatory was closed to the public for the night—reserved for a private viewing under a meteor shower. Lila and Jonah arrived bundled in scarves and curiosity, expecting silence, stars, maybe a shared bottle of wine.

They weren’t expecting Ari.

The guide. Brilliant, soft-spoken, magnetic. They met under the dome, her silhouette bathed in the pale glow of the galaxy projected above. She spoke about constellations like they were stories only she remembered. Lila hung on every word. Jonah watched them both.

After an hour, Ari smiled. “Would you like to see the stars… or become part of them?”

The telescope was forgotten.

Lila kissed her first—under the open roof, stars streaking above them, Ari’s hands in her coat, then under it. Jonah stood behind, lips at Lila’s neck, breath warm as Ari knelt between them both.

This may contain: two people kissing under the stars in the night sky

Clothes scattered across blankets laid on the cold floor, but the heat between them was more than enough. Ari’s tongue coaxed soft gasps from Lila, who arched beneath her, while Jonah stroked himself slowly, eyes wide with want.

Then they moved—Jonah slid into Lila from behind as she kissed Ari, their moans swallowed into each other’s mouths. Ari’s fingers found them both, teasing, pushing, guiding the rhythm.

Above them, stars fell in streaks of fire.
Below, they burned just as bright.

When it was over, they lay tangled on the rooftop, wrapped in shared breath and borrowed blankets.

Ari traced a line across Lila’s shoulder.
“Want to come back next week?”

Jonah laughed, still breathless.
“Only if the sky’s clear.”
Lila smirked.
“We’re not here for the sky.”
